What is Global Monitor?

Global Monitor tracks and documents the conditions facing people and communities across the world.

We compile clear, accessible updates on countries and populations experiencing violence, repression, displacement, or systemic injustice. Our focus is on patterns and developments over time, not breaking news or commentary.

Global Monitor exists to make information visible, comparable, and difficult to ignore. By bringing together verified reporting, historical context, and lived realities, we aim to support informed public understanding and responsible action.

This is an ongoing record. Not everything here is new.
None of it should be forgotten.

Long-term documentation

Track conditions over time to show patterns, continuity, and escalation, rather than chasing breaking news or moments of outrage.

Centre communities & lived realities

Examine how policies, violence, and systems shape everyday life, beyond official statements or headlines.

Maintain the public record

Bring together verified reporting, historical context, and key findings so information remains accessible and comparable.

Resist erasure and denial

Sustain visibility where suffering is minimised, distorted, or normalised, so these realities are not forgotten.
